لا شك أن مشكلة المخدرات تؤرق المجتمعات فلا يوجد دولة خالية من المخدرات أيا كان مستواها الاقتصادي أو الاجتماعي أو السياسي أو العسكري أو الأمني. وفي هذا الكتاب يوضح العوامل الدافعة الى تعاطي المخدرات وإدمانها حتى يمكن تجنبها والوقاية منها بتدابير محكمة من خلال برامج وقائية بالتعاون مع الأجهزة الأمنية لتوفير حياة آمنة ومجتمع خال من المخدرات. كما يقدم لنا المؤلف خلاصة خبرته العلمية والعملية في مجال المكافحة ضد المخدرات في أسلوب علمي مبسط فيوضح طرق الوقاية من المخدرات و يناشد الشباب المتعلم وغير المتعلم البعد عن مجال تعاطي وإدمان المخدرات بكافة أنواعها. كما يبرز اهتماما بالغا بدور الأسرة والمدرسة في مجال التربية الوقائية وتعريف النشء بخطورة المخدرات بكافة أنواعها وما تؤدي اليه من تدمير للعقل والجهاز العصبي مما يؤدى الى تحطيم مستقبل الشباب ، ويوضح دور أجهزة الاعلام في اتخاذ التدابير الوقائية لمنع الطلب على المخدرات. كما يؤكد على دور مؤسسات المجتمع المدني المتمثلة في جمعيات أهلية ونقابات ومنظمات ومؤسسات رعاية اجتماعية وأندية رياضية وغيرها من تجمعات الشباب فضلا عن دور الجمعيات الدينية إسلامية كانت أو مسيحية خاصة و قد أبرز دور الدين في برامج الوقاية والعلاج وتعريف النشء أضرار وخطورة تعاطي و إدمان المخدرات وكيفية تجنبها. كما أعطى نموذجا لما يمكن أن تكون عليه البرامج الوقائية وضرب مثالا طبق بالفعل و يحتذى به من الواقع العملي للتدريب الوقائي كنموذج للجهود الأهلية التطبيقية في مجال الوقاية من المخدرات وهو مركز عباس حلمي للتدريب الوقائي بالأسكندرية . فنتمنى أن يكون قد وفقنا الله في نشر هذا الكتاب تأكيدا لأهمية الوقاية فهي خير من العلاج وخير من المكافحة ، وندعو الله عز وجل أن يصل هذا العلم والجهد المبذول الى جميع المختصين آملين أن نصل الى برالأمان بأبنائنا ومجتمعاتنا العربية والاسلامية .
