ارسلت مرة تسألني عن آخر رسالة وقعت على درج منزلها، وكانت أمسية طال السهر فيها حتى الصباح، وكلام عن جدوى البقاء، ما دامت وردة القلب قد ذبلت، أخبرتها عن جمال وسحر سمرتها، فعضت على الجرح، واستمهلتني أياماً، أخبرتها أن في شعرها وسواد الليل تناغماً سحرياً، فوعدت بإضاءة عينيها، أخبرتها، فصمتت وما عادت إلى محادثتي، فطويت آخر رسالة ونشرتها على أشعة الضوء خوفاً من الرطوبة التي تأكل الأحرف والكلمات...
