نبذة النيل والفرات: لأسباب تاريخية وجغرافية كثيرة ومتشعبة كان للأكراد على مدى عدة قرون علاقات واتصالات كثيرة وهامة مع روسيا، وفي الأحداث التاريخية القريبة كان القيصر نيكولاي الثاني قد شجع في عام 1916 محاولات الزعيم الكردي سمكوا آنما بتأسيس كيان مستقل في كردستان الإيرانية. وفي أعوام الحرب العالمية الثاني ساهم الاتحاد السوفيتي في تأسيس أول جمهورية كردي في مهاباد، وفي عام 146 التجأ مصطفى برزاني مع مجموعة من أنصاره إلى الاتحاد السوفيتي حيث عاش قرابة 12 عاماً. وفي هذا الكتاب الذي وضعه دبلوماسي كردي عاش وتعلم في روسيا وتزوج من روسية وأصبح ممثلاً رسمياً لحكومة كردستان. يقدم المؤلف صورة عن العلاقات الكردية الروسية والعوامل الدولية والإقليمية التي حكمت وتحكم هذه العلاقة، كما يتحدث عن تجربته الشخصية في إيران وروسيا. ويضم الكتاب مقالات نشرها المؤلف في صحيفة الحزب الديمقراطي الكردستاني إضافة إلى وثائق وصور توثق لمرحلة تاريخية مهمة عاشها الكاتب في روسيا.
