خصصت رسالة الدكتوراة المقدمة مني، لبحث (العصمة الإمامية) عند الشيعة الإثنى عشرية، دون الشيعة الإسماعيلية، ودون الشريعة الزيدية، هؤلاء الشيعة الإثنا عشرية، الذين حددوا الأئمة في اثنى عشر، ألبسوهم لباس العصمة، التي لا تكون إلا للأنبياء والمرسلين، وحيث كانت (العصمة الأمامية) المفروضة على كل من هؤلاء الإثنى عشر، هي إحدى العقائد الشيعية، المبني على جدارها المذهب الشيعي، وكان المذهب في حقيقته أجنبياً عن هؤلاء الأئمة، أقحمه عليهم آخرون، بدعوى موالاة آل بيت النبي عليه صلوات الله وسلامه.. فيتوجب علينا البحث عن حقيقة نشأة التشييع بمعانيه التاريخية والمعاصرة.. لنرى: هل فعلاً كان لأحد من هؤلاء الأئمة يد في نشأة التشيع، أم لا؟.. وإذا لم يكن لأحدهم في النشأة من يد، فمن هم الذين كانوا وراء النشأة؟.. ومن هو المفكر الأول المؤسس، الذي ألقى بأفكاره، لتتأصل بعد ذلك في عقائد؟.. ثم ما هو مضمون العقائد الشيعية الإثنى عشرية، التي اعتبرنا (العصمة الأمامية) هي حجر الزاوية في بنائها؟.. يتعين علينا إلقاء الضوء على مضمون تلك العقائد.. مع المقارنة بينها وبين أفكار المؤسس، لنرى التوافق، بل التطابق، بين الأفكار والعقائد. هذا البحث.. عن النشأة.. وعن العقائد.. يعتبر باباً تمهيدياً للرسالة وأبوابها الثلاثة.. ولم يخضع للمناقشة معها... لكنه من الأهمية بمكان لفهمها واستيعابها. لذا رأيت نشر هذا الكتاب، متزامناً مع نشر الرسالة.. إنصافاً لآل بيت رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم)، قبل إنصاف صحابته (صلى الله عليه وسلم).. رضي الله تعالى عن جميع الأصحاب وجميع الآل. فينقسم البحث في هذا الكتاب الأول إلى فصلين: (الفصل الأول: نشأة الشيعة، الفصل الثاني: العقائد الإثنا عشرية).
