يأتي ديوان "أماكن خالدة" ليعبر عن رغبة الشاعر القوية المخلصة في توحيد شطري كوريا، ولهذا فهو مهتم جداً بإبراز الشخصية التاريخية للشعب الكوري بعيداً عن التقسيم الذي شطر وطنه إلى نصفين؛ شمالي وجنوبي- أو جرح جسده نصفين على حد تعبير الشاعر في واحدة من قصائد المتميزة- بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية، وهو تقسيم يرفضه الشاعر؛ لأن الأرض الكورية تضم شعباً له نفس اللغة والعادات والتقاليد منذ آلاف السنين؛ ومن هنا سنجد المفرادات المتعلقة بتاريخ كوريا وممالكها، مثل جوصن وكوريو متكررة جداً في شعره، كما سنجد سرداً فنياً بديعاً لمواقف تاريخية حقيقية قد حدثت، الديوان معني أيضاً بالبشر قدر عنايته بالطبيعة بعناصرها المختلفة، فالإنسان هو هم كو أون الأساسي، فإليه يكتب، وإليه يقدم الأفكار، وبه ومعه يتحقق حلم التئام شطري وطنه المقسم.
