هذا الكتاب يعالج موضوعا من أهم ما يمكن ـ أن يتناول التربوية فى كتابتهم،فالمعلم يكون مولدا للطاقة فى العملية التربوية إذا احسن،ويكون معوقا لمسيرتها إذا عجزت قدراته ومهارات عن أداء مهماته التعليمية والتربوية بكفاءة تواكب متطلبات العصر ومتغيراته ومن أهم متطلبات العصر ومتغيراته التي تنعكس – بالضرورة – على مهمات المعلم: المعلوماتية،و العولمة،والثورة العلمية ،والتدفق اتقاني. فالمعلوماتية لا تقف عند تحصيل المعرفة ولكنها تمتد إلى مواكبه الجديد منها وكفاءة تداولها وتطبيقها.والعولمة جعلت محيط الحياة يخرج من المحلية إلى العالمية، كما أنها ليست عملا مصفى ولكنها تحتاج إلى عقول قادرة على لاتخذ القرار والاختبار من البدائل،والثورة العلمية تحتاج إلى تكوين أجيال قادرة على البحث العلمي وإنتاج المعرفة والالتزام بالموضعية العلمية وإنتاج المعرفة والالتزام بالموضوعية العلمية فى حل المشكلات،وتوظيف نتائج البحوث أولا بأول حتى لا تجاوزها ثورة البحث العلمي. والتدفق التقاني من القيام الفارقة بين المجتمعات، فمن ينتج التقانه المناسبة للعصر يحجز لنفسه مقعدا فى القيادة،من يلهث وراء الاستعارة ثم التوطين وصلا إلى الإنتاج بما يعبر فجوة تخلفه. ومن المعلوم أن هذا التسارع وتلكم اللهفة تحتاج إلى قيم تحرسها من الانحراف نحو هاوية الغش العقدي و التفلت الأخلاقي والعزوف عن التواصل مع خالق الكون ومبدعه وعن الالتزام بمنهجه،ومن ثم لابد ترشيدها بالقيم الروحية والمعاني الأخلاقية. ولتكوين المعلم الذي يمكن المجتمع من الانطلاق الرشيد نحو متطلبات العصر، ينبغي أن يكون اختياره وإعداده وتنمية على أعلى مستوى من الكفاءة ليس فقط من حيث المعلومات فى تخصصه المهني ومن حيث أداء مهماته وفق منهج التربية الإسلامية،صمام الأمن والأمان لشباب ألأمه الإسلامية.
