من أجمل مايميز حى محرم بك وهو احد الأحياء العريقية فى مدينة الإسكندرية هو ذلك المزيج العجيب بين أصالة الماضى وشعبية ساكنية فهو مكان شعبى بسيط يحمل عبق التاريخ وأصالتة .. إدينى 100ألف جنية ... وفيلا فى محرم بيه هكذا كان يقول ساكنو الإسكندرية فى الماضى حيث كان حى محرم بك هو مجموعة من الفيلات المتجاورة يسكنها الباشوات وأصحاب الأعيان . وكانت تمثل لأهل الإسكندرية القديمة فى أحياء بحرى وكوم حمادة والمنشية حلما صعب المنال وتحولت بقدرة قادر كل تلك الفيلات العريقة .. إما لمكان تتم فية تحية علم مصر مع صباح كل يوم جديد حيث أبلة حكمت مديرة المدرسة..وتلاميذ بؤساء. وحوش فى حجم العلبة أو تحولت إلى مكان يتم فية تعذيب المواطنين الأبرياء نظر لانة اصبح إحدى الهيئات الحكومية ولكن بقى السؤال الحائر أين السر الخفى فى هذا الحب الجارف من قلب المصريين لوطنهم ؟ النيل ياتى من الجنوب بأمتداد مصر كلها يزيل كل حواجز التقاليد والعادات ويجعل الانسان المصرى أيا كانت نشأتة وعادتة وتقاليده إنسانا ذا هدف وحيد .. يعيش من أجلة .. ويموت من أجلة وهو عدم ترك هذا المكان تجد المصرى عبر التاريخ والعصورلم يترك أبدا مكانة لم يهاجر ولم يسافر إلالغرض محدد . ولفترة محددة فلماذا شاع الترحال والسفر وماهى أسباب الغربة ؟؟؟؟
