(القبار الأعرج) رواية مرتبطة بمؤلفها وتعكس خبراته وحقول اهتماماته المعرفية وعلاقاته، تلك النابعة من تجربة الكتابة؛ وكل ما له علاقة بشؤون ثقافية - تعليمية في بلاده، يفتح من خلالها نافذة على حقل التعليم بأسلوب انتقادي ساخر. كل ذلك نعرفه من خلال تسليطه الضوء على ما يدور في إحدى المدارس من مخالفات أخلاقية وتربوية لا تمت إلى مهنة التعليم بصلة، أما الراوي الوحيد في الرواية فهو "حارس المدرسة" يروي لنا حكايات، تتجدد شخوصها، أزمنتها، "مدراء، وطلبة يقبلون على المدرسة بنفسية لا تقل سوداوية خالقة من الملل والرتابة غولاً ماثلاً أمامهم كل صباح (...) أثقب بنظري الطلاب الذين يجرون أقدامهم كسلاً وأشعر أن الحقائب سئمت ظهورهم أيضا (...) أعجب فعلاً وأنا أقرأ تصريحات وزارة التربية من فكرة دمج ذوي الإحتياجات الخاصة في مدارس الأصحاء التي لم تُبنَ أغلبها في الأساس مراعية لأبسط احتياجاتهم ..." رواية هادفة رصدت تمظهرات سلبية تحتاج إلى إعادة نظر ليس في بلد الكاتب فحسب، بل في غالبية البلدان العربية.
