كانت روحه تألف هذا المكان، تأنس بذلك الهدوء الذي يملؤه، كانت تنطلق بين الأبنية البسيطة الحجرية التي تحوي بداخلها أثاثًا بسيطًا، ولا تعلم هل هذه الأبنية البسيطة تضم بداخلها المقابر، أم أن المقابر هي التي تحويها، هل كانت الأبنية دخيلة عليها، وهي تحتوي في داخلها نفوسًا لا زالت على قيد الحياة، روحه كانت تنطلق في المكان دائمًا تعبث مع أحد الدخلاء الذين يقطعون عليها خلوتها، تلهو مع روح أخرى، جاءت عابرة للمكان، كأنها أصبحت صاحبة المقبرة، وسيدة المكان، تراقب كلما أتى أحد المقرئين أو أقارب جثة جديدة سقطت لتوها في جوف القبر، تتذكر كلما أخذها الحنين إلى مكان أنستها، مكان قدر لها أن تعيش فيه أيامًا، أو ساعات لا تدري، أي التعبيرين أصدق.
