نسيان يستيقظ" ديوان شعري متعدد الأنواع والأغراض، ذو ظلال بعيدة في دنيا الأدب، يمجّد فيه الشاعر الألم، ويتغنى به، ويناجي الطبيعة، ويهيم بها، ويفر من الواقع المثقل بالأوهام إلى عالم الحلم، فيقدم لنا أدباً إنسانياً رقيقاً يتسلل إلى أعماق نفوسنا، فيزيد من شغفنا بمتعة التذوق والمعرفة. هو شاعر الوطن، والقضية، والإنسان معاً، يحكي آلامهم وأفراحهم. يرى الوطن بذرات ترابه، وبعيون أطفاله ونسائه، يغار على العرب ويحزن لسقوط بغداد. يقول في قصيدة بعنوان: "توقيع صغير على القضية" ، سقطت بغداد في يوم تعيس ، والذين افترشوا عفّتها ، كلّهم كان يناجي الصنم المركوز في الدرب صباحاً ومساءً ، كلهم باضَ ولاً للرئيسْ ، قُلَّبِّيون لهمُ في كلِّ ملهاةٍ ومبْكاةٍ حسيسْ ، أدمنوا (التبييض) فالآن يبيضون خنوعاً للخهسيسْ". هذا ويحتوي هذا الديوان على أربعين قصيدة متنوعة ما بين شعر عمودي وحديث، ما يؤكد على عطاءٍ فكري وأدبي هادف، وهذا ما يميز عبد الله بن سليم الرشيد عن غيره ...
