إذا كانت (أحلام الياسمين) عنوان الرواية الجديدة لأمجاد الأسدي، تعكس شيئاً من أحلام صاحبته؛ فإن فضاء الرواية لا يبشر بشيء من هذا القبيل، وقد اتخذت الرواية من حياة ثلاثة فتيات أنموذجاً يعكس وجهاً من وجوه الحياة الإجتماعية والعلاقات التي تسود بين فتيات الجامعة اليوم، كل واحدة منهن ظروفها مختلفة عن الأخرى (ياسمين) ذات الثلاثة والعشرين ربيعاً، محاطة بعناية إلهية وأسرية، وتنتمي للطبقة الغنية في المجتمع. أما (وعد) فتعاني من إضطرابات نفسية وسلوكية تجعلها تجهل مفهوم الصداقة الحقيقي والذهاب بهذا المفهوم إلى نوع من الغواية بعلاقة محرمة مع (ياسمين). أما الفتاة الثالثة فهي (نور) إبنة السائق أبو غانم، تنتمي للطبقة الفقيرة، ولكنها المثال في الخلق والقدرة على تحمّل صعوبات الحياة ومتابعة التعليم الجامعي. قد تبدو هذه النماذج مستهلكة في الرواية العربية النسوية، غير أن معالجتها روائياً هي ما تميز رواية عن أخرى، وكذلك طريقة الروي والرسالة التي تريد إيصالها الرواية إلى القارىء وهو ما سنكتشفه كلما توغلنا أكثر في حياة الشخصيات وطريقة مواجهتهم للصعوبات التي تعترض حياتهم ...
