كثيرة هي الرسائل التي يطرحها عبد الله الحرسوسي في "من حقي أن أبكي" المجموعة ، التي يبدو فيها فعل الإختيار بين الأرضي والسماوي يميل لصالح السماوي، والذي يمارس من خلاله الكاتب نوعاً من الوعظ والإرشاد الديني ويصوغه بتقنية الفن الروائي.
عبر هذا الفضاء تدور قصص المجموعة، وتأتي على شكل إعترافات، وانطباعات، ورؤى تجسّد نظرة الكاتب إلى الحياة من جهة، وإلى الآخرة من جهة أخرى، في محاولة لإشراك المتلقي في عيشها، وحضورها عبر النص.
في العنوان الموسوم بـ "ربع ساعة "حداد" على موت الدنيا" يقول الكاتب: "السر في عدم الإكتراث للموت هو "الزينة" التي وضعها الله لحكمة وهي حتى يكون الإختبار صعباً. يقول الله في قرآنه الخالد: "إنا جعلنا ما على الأرض زينة لها لنبلوهم أيهم أحسن عملاً". ويعزو الكاتب السبب في عدم التفكر في الموت وقصر الحياة هو "الضجيج" الذي لا يعطي المرء الفرصة للتفكر في حقيقتها ... والحل برأي الكاتب: بسيط في كشف حقيقة الدنيا وتعريتها. فمن يرد أن يفضح الدنيا ويسخر منها، ما عليه إلا أن ينصت لها ويخصص حتى ولو ربع ساعة يومياً يقوم فيها فقط بشيء واحد. هل تعلمون ما هو؟ إنه الصمت التام والتفكر في حقيقة هذه الحياة ... إن هذه الدقائق ستكون بما يشبه دقائق صمت حداد على روح الدنيا، إنك إن فعلت فقد فضحتها وكشفتها على حقيقتها ...".
تضم المجموعة ما يزيد عن الثلاثين قصة قصيرة جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "أما قبل" ، "ثريد بالدم" ، "من الأسرار" ، "وداعاً أيها الضيق" ، "إن لم تكن أنت .. فمن يكون؟" ، "إلى صاحبي مع التحية" ، "مذكرات طالب انتحر" (...) وقصص أخرى.
