Book Description
لقد عرف القرن السابع عشر مجموعة من الرجال قلما يجود الزمان بأمثالهم، وكان بطرس الأكبر، قيصر روسيا، أول رجال ذلك القرن.
وكان القرن السابع عشر قرن التحولات والصراعات، وبالرغم من شدة الفارق بين تلك الصراعات، والصراعات التي شهدها القرن العشرون، إلا أنه من المستحيل فصل العوامل التي أدت إلى هذه التحولات والصراعات عن تلك العوامل التي أدت إلى الحروب العالمية اللاحقة، من هنا تبرز أهمية التعرض لتلك الحقبة التاريخية من خلال ما قامت به الشخصيات التاريخية في القرن السابع عشر من أعمال وما حققته من إنجازات امتدت ظلالها على صفحة الزمن أكثر من أربعة قرون.
لقد كانت حياة بطرس نموذجاً لسيرة الإدارة الذاتية وقصة للعمل الصادق المخلص، ورغم أنه مات ولما يتجاوز الثالثة والخمسين إلا أنه كان له في كل يوم مأثور أو إنجاز لا مثيل له.
لقد عاش بطرس الأكبر حياته لأمته فكان مثالاً للتفاعل المستمر بين حياة الفرد والأمة، من هنا كان نموذجاً لقصة (الأمة في رجل والرجل في أمة).
