اللغة سلطة فى ذاتها، والسياسة هى السلطة بذاتها ولذاتها. فأما اللغة فالإنسان يفعل بها الفعل على الناس، وكثيراً ما لا يكون واعيا بسلطتها ولا بخطرها ، أما السياسة فأصحابها لا ينصورون أنفسهم إلا وهم يفعلون الافعال بالناس على الناس، وبعضهم يمارس اللغة وهو واع بقوتها إذ نشد أزر سلطته، وبعضهم لايعي أن وزن سلطانه بوزن سلطة اللغة وفي مسافة ما بين هؤلاء وأولئك ، تزدهر الحياة أو يخبو وهجها، السياسة هى السلطة الغائبة، والذين يصوغون الحلام الإنسانية يرون أن العالم كان يمكن أن يكون أسعد لو أن السياسة قلصت من حضورها في وعي أصحابها.
