سعد البزاز (ولد في الموصل، العراق في 18 أبريل 1952) هو رجل أعمال وكاتب عراقي يعيش في لندن.
خاله وزير الاعلام السابق شاذل طاقة، عين مديرا للمركز الثقافي العراقي في لندن، وفي زمن الرئيس العراقي صدام حسين عين مديرا لوكالة الانباء العراقية ومن ثم أصبح مديرا للاذاعة والتلفزيون العراقية، ومن ثم أصبح نائبا ًلـعدي صدام حسين في نقابة الصحفيين العراقيين.
غادر العراق في تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 1992 وأسس في لندن جريدة الزمان المعارضة لنظام الرئيس العراقي السابق صدام حسين في ذلك الوقت.

ما أقرب صورة يمكن رسمها للكارثة التي حلت بالعراق... وما الجزء المقتطع في الأحداث... وماذا كان ينبغي أن يقع ولم يقع... لماذا لم يقع؟ وهل كان يمكن أو ينبغي تحاشي الذهاب إلى الكويت وبالتالي تحاشي الخوض في الحرب ومواجهة العالم؟ وما الذي اعتمدت عليه القيادة العراقية؟... وهل هناك من ضللها أم إنها هي التي ضللت حلفاءها المباشرين واستدرجتهم إلى مأزق تاريخي كبير؟... على الدوام ثمة أسئلة بلا أجوبة... ولكن "سعد البزاز" الإجابة عليها حيث تأتي الإجابات ضمن معلومات تخرج من أطراف هذا الكتاب يحاول لسنة الشهود والمخططين والمنفذين ومن صفحات الوثائق التي يحرص واضعوها على إبقائها طيّ الكتمان لعقدين أو ثلاثة عقود من الزمان على الأقل وربما هنا من له اعتراض من جهة ما على هذا الكتاب والكاتب هنا لا يجد نفسه مستاءً من أن كتبه ما تزال تمنع في معظم الدول المعنية بموضوعاتها، ولذلك فإنه يتعامل مع المعلومات والوثائق بأسلوب الانتقاء ويرفض التقاء الأضواء في موضوع واحد من الزمان والمكان، ويبتعد عن التنظير حتى يبدو أشبه بمحاولة لملء الفراغات وتعبئة الفجوات التي تخلفت عن كافة الدخول إلى الكويت بأعلى قدر من المعلومات، أمكن التحقق منها بعد ست سنوات في وقوعها... فمن كان يعلم؟... ومن يتحمل المسؤولية ؟... من صنع القرار؟... ومن تبعه إلى منتصف الطريق؟ ومن مضى فيه حتى النهاية؟... إذا كان الجنرالات آخر من يعلم... فمن الذي كان يعلم في عصر (الجهجهون) إذن؟ وربما هذا ما يحاول الكاتب الإفصاح عنه في كتابه هذا.
