ولد القاص والروائي والمترجم عبد عون الروضان في مدينة العمارة عام 1939 في الصف الخامس الاعدادي حصل على جائزته الأولى في مسابقة للقصة القصيرة عام 1973 فنشر اول قصة له في مجلة ألف باء ومن إصداراته (بيت في مواجهة الشمس،قصص 1976، ربيع في صيف ساخن، رواية 1981، رجل في ذاكرة الرجال، رواية 1984، والشعراء العرب في القرن العشرين (2005). وحاز على جائزة الإبداع في القصة القصيرة عام 1997 وهو يترجم عن اللغتين ال ولد القاص والروائي والمترجم عبد عون الروضان في مدينة العمارة عام 1939 في الصف الخامس الاعدادي حصل على جائزته الأولى في مسابقة للقصة القصيرة عام 1973 فنشر اول قصة له في مجلة ألف باء ومن إصداراته (بيت في مواجهة الشمس،قصص 1976، ربيع في صيف ساخن، رواية 1981، رجل في ذاكرة الرجال، رواية 1984، والشعراء العرب في القرن العشرين (2005). وحاز على جائزة الإبداع في القصة القصيرة عام 1997 وهو يترجم عن اللغتين الإنجليزية والفرنسية، كما سبق أن عمل في الصحافة وفي الإذاعة والتلفزيون، كما عمل خبيراً لغوياً لكثير من دور النشر في الأردن.

رواية تتناسل مع كربلائيات العراق حيث الأحزان التي لا حدود لها، وكاتبها عاش أكثر ساعاتها وجعا وأطول أيامها هلعاً ورعباً دون أن يتباهى بما جرى، بل تماهى مع آلامه حتى صار بعضاً منها. رواية عن الإنسان في محنته، عن الظالم والظلام، عن التأوهات الحبيسة، عن الجوار والطغيان الذي لا أملك أمامه غير أن أكرر ثانية كان الله في عون مبدعها، كيف أنه كتب زائية الوجد وكيف أنه عاشها. زائية الوجد (نص روائي) تداخل فيه الذاتي مع الموضوعي باتجاه منحى الوجد والبوح الصوفي الخالص والصافي عبر اتحاد الذات مع الذات الحميمة والقريبة. ذلك تجسد من خلال قدرة السارد على الأضمار والكشف في ما هو ماثل من تراجيديا الحرب. فالفاجعة لا تأخذ بسردياته إلى فعل إماطة اللثام عما هو مباحة رؤيته بل يساير استجابة الجواني في توزيع الانعكاسات الرؤيوية لإظهار المتخفي من المشهد ونثره باقتصاد تام وبهذا تحققت صورة مثلى للمعادل الموضوعي.
