ولد الصحفية زينب صادق بالقاهرة عام 1935، وقد حصلت على ليسانس آداب قسم الصحفة في كلية الآداب جامعة القاهرة، وعمل زينب في العديد من الصحف المصرية والجرائد كان منها مجلة صباح الخير وروز اليوسف ولها العديد من المؤلفات الأدبية التي عالجت سينمائيا منها فيلم (ابتسامة و احدة تكفي) والمأخوذ عن قصتها (يوم بعد يوم).
حصلت على تكريم من نقابة الصحفين عام 1987 تاريخ الميلاد: 20 يناير 1935 القاهرة الجنسية: المصرية
