سيرة ذاتية مكي النزال شاعر وكاتب وصحافي عراقي مقيم في الأردن نشَطَ في السياسة والإغاثة بحُكم ظروف بلده المحتل.
وُلد في الفلوجة/العراق عام 1957 ودرس الترجمة في بريطانيا ثم عمل في الأمم المتحدة ووظائف دولية عديدة آخرها وظيفة مستشار سياسي في سي أم آي الفنلندية ويدير الآن الهيئة العراقية للإغاثة.
صدر له كتابان عن العراق وأربعة دواوين شعرية ورواية واحدة.

ديوان شعر يتكون من قصيدة واحدة عدد أبياتها 333 (على بحر الخفيف) اختلف النقاد في تسميتها فمنهم من قال معلقة وملحمة وآخر قال هي بانوراما وشاعر أسماها طرديَّة. ستتنقل بك القصيدة بين عوالم الدهشة وتطوف بك بين البلدان والأماكن والأزمان في التفاتات متعاقبة وكأنك تجلس لتقرأ في أماكن وأزمنة متعددة وعن مواضيع ملوّنة وتحلِّق في أفضية متباينة. هي أول قصيدة يشهد لها نقاد من العراق وسوريا ولبنان ومصر قبل أن تُنشر، فلقد تلقفوا البشرى من الشاعر ساعة اكتمال ولادتها فأطلقوا عليها التسميات وتناولوها بالدراسات التي ستصدر هي الأخرى قريبًا. في القصيدة سحر بابل وحكمة لقمان وبغداد في عنفوان عزِّها؛ والغزل العفيف؛ والحنين للوطن والوقوف بوجه احتلاله؛ والإيمان بالله والسعي لملاقاته شهيدًا؛ والفروسية والعودة للجذور في غرب العراق حيث النواعير والعديد من الأغراض في عشرات الصور الجديدة التي تسجَّل للشاعر والتي لم يسبقها إليه أحد. قالوا في القصيدة: ٠ معلقة تستحق الاحتفاء(البروفيسور عبد الحق الهواس/سوريا). ٠ بانوراما ساحرة وجديدة (البروفيسور أدهم الشبيب / العراق). ٠ طرديّة عصرها (الشاعر القدير حارث الأزدي/العراق). ٠ ملحمة معلقة فريدة(الأستاذ حسن شملي البنان). ٠ قصيدة فيها روحي ووطني وأمتي (الشاعر).
