"القمر اللاهب" هي النسخة العربية من رواية Lunacaliente لمؤلفها "ممبو جيار دينلي" نقلها إلى العربية خالد الجبيلي.
تدور أحداث الرواية في سبعينيات القرن العشرين في الأرجنتين وتعالج موضوع الاغتصاب الذي سوف يغير من حياة المعتدي والضحية سواء بسواء.
يعود "راميرو" من باريس بعد تحرجه من الجامعة وحيازته على شهادة في القانون الإداري، ويتوقع له أن يصبح قريباً أستاذاً في جامعة ديل نوريستي. وفي مسقط رأسه "بورغوس" وخلال ليلته الأولى في البلدة يدعوه طبيب من آل نشاكو واسمه بروليو تيمبوم إلى العشاء في دارته وفي أثناء العشاء مع العائلة أحس راميرو بأن تلك الفتاة الشابة لم تحول نظرها عنه وأنها كانت ترمقه بوقاحة طوال تلك الأمسية وهذه الفتاة هي ابنة تيمبوم طبيب البلدة القديم الذي كان صديق والده. وهي تتمتع بجمال أخاذ، شعرها طويلـ وعينيها براقتين، وعندما يهم راميرو للذهاب إلى منزله، يتعطل محرك السيارة، فيبقى في دارة الطبيب. ومع هبوط الليل لم يمنع نفسه من التفكير في "آراسيلي" الرائعة الجمال... تتوالى الأحداث في الرواية ليجد الشاب نفسه مغتصباً للفتاة وعندما أراد أن يلوذ بالفرار يجد الطبيب والد الفتاة أمامه يطلب منه أن يأخذه إلى مكان يحتسي فيه الخمرة.. فتساءل راميرو ترى هل يعرف الطبيب ماذا جرى لابنته؟... وفي الطريق يتعارك الرجلان وتسقط السيارة على حافة النهر ويتوفى الطبيب... عند ذلك المنعطف تتغير حياة الشاب وتأخذ منعطفاً آخر... وفي ختام الرواية يفاجأ بأن الفتاة الشابة التي ظن أنها ماتت ما زالت على قيد الحياة ... وقد جاءت تطلب رؤيته...
