هذا هو المجلد الأول من مجلة الصحة المدرسية التي صدر العدد الأول منها في نوفمبر 1959م,وهي إحدى المجلات التي توثق مسيرة الرعاية الصحية التربوية التي وفرتها الدولة لمدارسها ,والاهتمام بنشرها بين الطلاب بعد إنشاء مجلس المعارف ونشأة التعليم النظامي. كانت المجلة توزع مجاناً,وتدخل كل بيت كويتي ,وتقدم إجابات شافية عن كل ما يتعلق بالجوانب الصحية التربوية المتصلة بالتغذية السليمة ,والثقافة الصحية,والوقاية من الأمراض في أسلوب سلس مناسب للقارئ. وقد اشترك في تحريرها أطباء متخصصون ومثقفون كما حرصت على إتاحة قدر كبير من الإسهام للطلبة المتميزين فشاركوا في إعداد مواد المجلة وموضوعاتها وبذلك سجلت المجلة مسيرتهم الفكرية والعلمية حتى أصبحوا أسماء معروفة في المجال الثقافي والسياسي لدولة الكويت, وتضمنت المجلة إلى جانب موضوعاتها الصحية والتربوية مجموعة من الصور النادرة التي لا توجد اليوم لدى أصحابها ويأتي حرص المركز على إحياء هذه الج لة بإعادة نشرها ضمن اهتمامه بنشر الكثير من المجلات التي أسهمت في نشر الوعي الثقافي والعلمي بدولة الكويت إبان نهضتها المبكرة مثل مجلات البعثة,وكاظمة والرائد بالإضافة إلى إسهامها في تنمية الحس الوطني والانتماء القومي.
