الشيخ أكرم بركات (1968 - )، عالم دين شيعي، ناشط في مجال التبليغ والإرشاد وله العديد من المؤلفات والكتب والمحاضرات المنشورة.
دراسته
تلقّى علومه الأكاديمية في بيروت، وقبل إكمال دراسته الجامعية توجّه نحو دراسة العلوم الدينية، فأخذ قسما منها في لبنان قبل التوجه إلى حوزة قم حيث حضر على عدد من أساتذتها في دروس السطوح العليا وبحوث الخارج.
بعد فترة من عودته إلى لبنان عاد ليتابع دراسته الجامعية إلى جانب عمله الديني والتبليغي والإرشادي، فانتسب إلى الجامعة الإسلامية في لبنان وأنهى دراسته فيها بنيله درجة الدكتوراة عن دراسته حول (الكفر والتكفير : ضوابط الإسلام وتطبيقات المسلمين).
عمله في لبنان
تولّى العديد من المهام الثقافية والتبليغية والإرشادية في لبنان منها:

نبذة النيل والفرات: في هذا الكتاب مجموعة من الخطب العاشورائية التي ألقاها الشيخ أكرم بركات في مركز القائم الإسلامي في بيروت عام 1420 للهجرة، والهدف من نشرها فائدة لعامة الناس من ناحية، وللخطباء وللقرّاء العزاء الحسيني من ناحية أخرى، وذلك لما تشتمل عليه هذه الخطب من موضوعات مفيدة ولافتة. وقد حرص المؤلف على توثيق النصوص الواردة في هذا الكتاب ليستفيد منها من أراد التوسّع في الموضوعات المطروحة.
