جماجم الموتى مهيأة لشرب الخمر أقداح الشراب بلا عرى إذ ليس ثمة من ندامى غير موتاها تعبُّ شرابَها من خمرة النسيان بهذه المشاهد القاتمة ، يعرض الشاعر مقطعاً من حانة إفتراضية .. ثم يمضي قائلاً : يستيقظ الموتى مساءاً يجلسون على هياكل أو أرائك من عظام .. يتذاكرون وليس من ذكرى سوى أطيافهم من منزل الاموات في الليل القاتم دون شك هناك (رمزية) مقصودة بهذه المشاهد ، تخفي ، خلفها ألماً وسخرية مرة . تعتبر مجموعة حانة المقبرة من اهم منجزات الشاعر محفوظ داود سلمان تضمنت عددا من قصائد التفعيلة واخرى من قصائد النثر تعبر عن الوضع العام العراقي والعربي منها الطريق الى القدس واخر ملوك غرناطة وابن زريق البغدادي وهناك القصيدة التي حمل الديوان اسمها حانه المقبرة وهي مستوحاة من مسرحية الباب للشاعر يوسف الصائغ الذي يحول الوطن الى حانة تناقش مستقبله وامنه الغذائي في مقبرة حيث الاقداح من جماجم الموتى والارائك من هياكل العظام ...
