لقد كان إصدار مجلة الكويتين في الكويت أمنية الوصول إلى قمتها كان أقصى ما تتوق إليه نفس كل كويتي. وصحّت العزيمة على تحقيق هذه الأمنية بإصدار مجلة شهرية سنتها عشرة أشهر وقد صدر العدد الأول منها في رمضان 1346هـ (مارس 1928)، وقد ضمت هذه المجلة أبحاثاً متنوعة، ومواضيع مختلفة، ينتقل قارئها خلالها من فائدة تاريخية مثلها أدبية، ومن مسألة دينية إلى أخرى علمية، ومن بحث أخلاقي إلى موضوع اجتماعي، الهدف من هذا التنوع توخي القيّمين عليها فائدة القراءة ومتعتها. وكانت أبواب المجلة كالتالي: 1-الدين، 2-رد الشبهات على الدين، 3-الأخلاق، 4-القديم والجديد في العادات والأخلاق والعلوم والآداب والمناهج والآراء، 5-الأدب في أنحاء مختلفة من الخليج، 6-التاريخ، 7-التراجم، 8-الفتوى، 9-اللغة، 10-متفرقات الفوائد، 11-التقريظ والانتقاد. والمجلد الذي بين أيدينا يضم ملفاً لأعداد مجلة الكويت من بدايتها في مارس من العام 1928 إلى عدد مارس عام 1930.
