" «وُلِدْتُ من رحم امرأة ميتة».. بعد أن تشبَّثْتُ بدفئه أكثر مما ينبغي؛ خوفاً من جحيم أصوات متوحشة، ومشاعر غريبة لامرأة تلد على ظهر حيوان عنيد، يخترق جبالاً وعرة هرباً من الموت. «بخنجر محارب عملاق.. كان خلاصي».. قطع حبل السرّة، ولفّني بـ«شرشف» أزرق؛ اخترقه غبار كثيف محمّل برائحة القتل.. ملأ رحم أمي بالريحان والنعناع البري، وأسبل أطرافها داخل «بطّانية» عسكرية سميكة، كانت الكفن الذي احتوى جسدها طويلاً، ورفعها إلى «الظهر البليد» جثة هامدة. حدّثني مراراً عن تلك اللحظة، التي أوقفت قلبه عن الخفقان، حين وقعت عيناه على وجه مريم المخضّبة بدمائها.. عينان مفتوحتان، وثغر انفرج عن ابتسامة غامضة!! «أغمضتُ جفنيها بيدي، بعد أن تأكدت أنها شبعت موتاً!!. لكنها أعادت فتحهما، حين غرزت خنجري في رحمها، وشققته طولياً بالشفرة الحادة.. ظلَّت تراقبني حتى اللحظة التي أخرجتُكَ بها.. لم يرعبني شيء في الكون كما فعلت بي عينا مريم آنذاك»!! "
