حاصل على بكالوريوس الصيدلة من جامعة القاهرة 1979 , ودبلوم الدراسات العليا في التحاليل الطبية 1983 , وفي الصيدلة الصناعية 1992.
يعمل صيدلانيّاً وأخصائياً في الرقابة الدوائية بإحدى شركات الدواء بمصر .
نشر العديد من قصائده فى المجلات الثقافية في مصر والخارج مثل: إبداع , والشعر , والهلال , والثقافة الجديدة, وأدب ونقد , والعربي , والبيان , والكويت , والناقد , وشؤون أدبية , والثقافة الجديدة , وفي الصحف العربية مثل : الوطن, والرأي العام , والهدف , والبيان , والأخبار وغيرها .
دواوينه الشعرية: الفقراء ينهزمون فى تجربة العشق 1990 - على بعد خطوة 1992 -وردة الكيمياء الجميلة 1993 - ثمة موسيقا تنزل السلالم - عصافير خضراء قرب بحيرة صافية.
ممن كتبواعن شعره : سمير الفيل ( اليوم السعودية 1991), وعلاء الديب ( صباح الخير 1992) , ولينا الطيبي ( الحياة 1992) , وعبد الله السمطي ( جريدة الرياض 1992, والأهرام المسائي 1992 ).

اليقينُ الذي غشَّني، اليقينُ الذي هَيَّأ الفخَّ عامداً، لعلامةِ استفهامٍ، كانتْ منذورةً لتكون رفيقتي. اليقينُ الذي أوعز للبداهةِ خِلْسَةً، كيف تصطادُ الطمأنينةَ بالعزاءْ. اليقينُ الذي أسرَّ بالحتميةِ ففرحتُ، بينما مياهُ ضحكتْ في لوحات الأطفالْ. لمحْتهُ - هذا الصباح - يتوارى جريحاً خلْفَ هُراءْ لمْ أكُنْ أضَمِّدُ المساءَ بقُطْنِ المراهقَةْ، ولا كنتُ وعدْتُّ الصّباحَ، ببنتٍ في الثانوية. لكنني نمْتُ فجأةً... فرأيْتُني أخباُ الحكاياتِ الملونَةَ في جيوبي، وأربَّتُ ظهرَ المِقْعدِ الخالي، في الحديقَةْ. بينما أردُّ التحيةَ على الانتظارْ. 11/1/92 ( 3 ) هذا صباحُ جميلْ: الشمسُ ضاحكةٌ، كفسْتانِ أنْثى. وثمةَ مُوسيقى تنزلُ السّلالمْ. وعند الكُشُكْ.. صحُفٌ، ومجلاّتٌ، وهاتفُ عُمْلَةْ. 15/1/92 ( 4 ) إذَنْ، فانتبهي للحنينْ، الحنينُ الذي ينمو إلى جوارِ النافذةْ، الحنينُ الذي لا يجفَّ في المنديلْ، الحنينُ الذي يصحوُ يحرس وِحدتَكِ، الحنينُ الذي يصحبُكِ مساءً للسَّريرْ، الحنينُ الذي يفسدُِ الوسادةْ، الحنينُ الذي لا تضيعَ رائحتُه، الحنينُ الذي يعتريك كُلَّ حينٍ، نيابةً عني.
