"الناس تئن تحت وطأة الرسوم والغرامات والحاكم يزداد ثراء" إنها طريقة سهلة ومربحة لامتصاص دمّ الشعب دون مشقة وعناء تحت حماية وباسم القانون لو كان للقانون لسان لنطق وصرخ يقول إنه بريء مما يرتكب باسمه كبراءة الذئب من دم يوسف. كل ما يمكن قوله عن هذه الحقبة الزمنية من حياتي أنها ظلم وتعسف ونصب واحتيال. كل شيء يسير على ما يرام طالما أن الناس تدفع دون اعتراض وويل لمن اعترض. عامة طبقات الشعب تدفع ولكن طبقة النخبة ومعها أفراد الأسرة لماذا لا يدفعون؟". منصور عبد الرحمن كاتب ناقد يتذوق حسّ الكلمة الفني والإبداعي ويعيش معانيها بكل شعوره وحواسه. رأى أعماله الأدبية تغتال وهي ما زالت في المهد. ومع ذلك تحامل على نفسه، وألف هذه الرواية "الرجل الذي اشترى إسمه" ناقداً فيها الفوارق الطبقية في المجتمع الواحد، والمراسيم والقوانين الصادرة والتي تنال فقط من عامة أبناء المجتمع دون الحكام. الكتابة تستحق القراءة، وبعد القراءة يأتي النقد، ومن خلال النقد والنقد الذاتي يمكن للكاتب من تطوير قدراته الإبداعية، لأن الكاتب يكتب لغيره ولا يكتب لنفسه. أحب الأشياء إلى قلبي هو النقد البنّاء الذي يوجهني إلى طريق الصواب والذي أستفيد منه، ولولاه لكانت كتاباتي جامدة خالية من روح الحياة. أما غياب النقد البنّاء وهو سبب مباشر يحدّ من التطور الذاتي لأي كتاب.
