ولد في بغداد عام 1966.
نشر أول نص له عام 1983 في مجلة الطليعة الأدبية.
كان من ضمن الشعراء الذين أصدروا كتاب "الموجة الجديدة في الشعر العراقي" عام 1986.
درس في كليةالفنون الجميلة ـ قسم الفنون التشكيلية ، جامعة بغداد.
هرب الى كردستان أواخر 1989 ثم الى ايران عام 1990.
درس في ايران العلوم الاسلامية وبخاصة العرفان الاسلامي.
سافر الى سوريا عام 1991.
عمل في كثير من الصحف العراقية والعربية في سوريا ولبنان..
أصدر "عقائد موجعة" (1999 عن دار ألواح في أسبانيا)، و بالاشتراك مع ناطق عزيز "عمدني بنبيذ الأمواج" (اتحاد الكتاب العرب في دمشق وهو ترجمة عن الفارسية للشاعرة فروغ فرخ زاد).
عضو منتدى الأدباء العراقيين في دمشق.
عمل في هيئة تحرير مجلة المسلة في لندن.
له ثلاثة كتب شعرية وكتاب نصوص مسرحية معدّة للطباعة.
يقيم منذ أواخر 2000 في كندا.
Book Description
في مجموعته الشعرية (دليل على بهتان العالم) يستمد الشاعر أحمد عبد الحسين ثيماته من صميم واقع تجربة (الحرب)، ومن صميم لحظة (الموت) يتمظهر هذا في بنائها الدرامي وإنضباطها النصي، فالقصيدة عند شاعرنا عبارة عن مجموعة لوحات تقدم بصوت راوٍ مراقب للحدث "الذي يرى ويسمع... يعرف ما يحدث للهواء حين تخفق روح حزينة في الهواء... الذي يرى ويسمعُ... يعرف وزن الظل في جثةٍ تلمع تحت الشمس... الذي يرى ويسمع... يعرف قياس زاوية مجرى الدم... والذي يرى ويسمعُ... يعرف أن أسماءه الحسنى منقوشة بالوحل على عبوةٍ لاصقة... هذا الذي يرى ويسمعُ... لويرى ويسمع".
وبقراءة متأنية لقصائد المجموعة نجد أن الشعر ليس حديثاً عن الحرب وكفى، بل هو تعبير عن صراعين؛ صراع على مستوى الواقع وآخر بديل داخل النص، وبهذا يقدم الشاعر عبد الحسين مثال شعري جديد بمقومات فنية عالية تحقق أثراً وحركة داخل كل عنوان ومن خلاله يكون الشاعر قد حدد مسبقاً الموقع الذي سوف تتجه نحوه القصيدة من المواقع المتعددة في حياة الناس، ورؤيتهم للأشياء من حولهم.
تضم المجموعة قصائد نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "وجدت في بيت أبي كلمة"، "وبسم الله"، "وقع على العالم كلامٌ كثيرٌ"، "افتح الباب لترى الحقيقة"، "مسقط رأس"، "راياتنا تمس الغيوم"، "الذي يرى ويسمع"... وقصائد أخرى.
