نبذة النيل والفرات: يعتبر هارود جاردنر أستاذ علم النفس في جامعة هارفارد أول من لفت الانتباه لما يعرف بالذكاء المتعدد في كتابه (أطر العقل) الذي أوضح فيه إلى وجود سبعة ذكاءات أساسية على الأقل، مما كان له أثر عميق على التفكير والممارسة في التعليم في الولايات المتحدة الأميركية أولاً، ومنها إلى العالم أجمع. في هذا الكتاب تعرض الباحثة الدكتورة (معصومة أحمد ابراهيم) استخدام نظرية الذكاء المتعدد في مجال التعليم وفي حل المشكلات المدرسية في بلدان مدارس عديدة من الغرب والشرق، ففي الولايات المتحدة على سبيل المثال أخذت بعض المدارس بهذه النظرية في تنظيم طرق التعليم طبقاً للذكاءات المتعددة (القدرات) وصممت الفصول الدراسية وحتى مدارس بأكملها لتعكس المفاهيم التي طورها "جاردنر". وفي هذا السياق تشرح المؤلفة القدرات السبع المتوفرة عند البشر حسب التصور الذي قدمه جاردنر ومنها: الذكاء اللغوي، الذكاء المنطقي الرياضي، الذكاء المكاني، الذكاء الموسيقي، الذكاء الجسمي الحركي، الذكاء الإجتماعي والذكاء الشخصي، وتستعرض أيضاً الدراسات السابقة في إطار نظرية الذكاء المتعدد ومنها: دراسة كريستسون وكيندي وهي (تطبيقات لنظرية جاردنر استخدمت على دراسة اللغة الانجليزية كلفة ثانية من قبل الراشدين)... ودراسات أخرى جميعها تهدف إلى فهم احتياجات الطلبة وإتاحة الفرصة أمام المتعلم لتوظيف الطرق المفضلة للعملية التربوية والتواصل مع المعلومات الجديدة... إلى ذلك تضع المؤلفة تطبيقاً عملياً/ دراسة قامت بها على عينة من الطلبة وطغت فيها النظرية الآنفة الذكر وعرضت بالتفصيل لـ: خطوات إعداد مقياس الذكاء المتعدد وطريقة البحث بهدف إلقاء الضوء على ثبات وصدق المقياس بالاعتماد على عدة طرق ومنها استخدامها للتحليل العاملي أي تدوير العوامل بطريقة "الفاريماكس" وأخيراً نتائج الدراسة.
