عنيت في هذا الكتاب بجمع كثير من النصوص الشعرية للمرأة الفراتية ملتقطاً ذلك من أفواه الرجال الذين شاهدوها وسمعوا شعرها وممن حضروا المعارك الرهيبة، وقد لاقينا صعوبة في الروايات نظراً إلى كون الرواة يستمعون إلى شعر يرتجل فيعتمدون على قوة الذاكرة، ومن الصعب الإحاطة بكل ما سمع في وقته فقد ذهب المعظم منه لأنه لم يسجل في حينه، أو سجل ولم نعثر عليه. و إليك النصوص المهيجة برواية الثائر "اشناوة آل ماخي" فقد سمع ذلك من أصواتهن وهن يهتفن برجالهن عندما وصل جيش الإنكليز إلى (الرارنجية) وانطلق رصاص الثوار هتفت إحدى بنات آل فتلة مخاطبة الزعيم عبد الواحد الحاج سكر ومهيجة له فقالت الأولى: "ثار التفكك وسمع أندابه ودخانته مثل الضبابه، نخوا وين فكاك الطلابه يواحد أو ياراعي المهابه، يماضي ولا ينشد أصوابه يصنديد يا وكفة أصحابه يسيل الذي حدر سحابه".
