مشاركة فى التعرف بمواقع المدونات فى إطار الحاجات العلمية المتجددة لدارسى الإعلام كان هذا الكتاب بمدخله وفصوله الستة وخاتمته التى تناولت ضرورات الاهتمام بالاعلام البديل والتعريف بالمدونات ومعالمها وعلاقاتها وأخلاقياتها ثم الدور الذى تقوم به مع الوسائل الجديدة الأخرى فى فرض إعادة النظر فى تأثيرات وسائل الإعلام التقليدية حيث اهتم المدخل بالرؤى الخاصة بحتمية التحول الى الاعلام البديل ثم التحول الى الاعلام البديل والعوامل دعمت هذا التحول وفرضته باعتباره واقعا نراه الآن على شبكة الويب ويعرض الفصل الثانى : التعريف بالمدونات أحد أشكال الإعلام البديل ووسائله وتاريخها وتصنيفها ووظائفها ودوافع استخدامها ويقدم الفصل الثالث : العلاقة بين المدونات وصحافة المؤسسات وكذلك العلاقة بالمواقع الصحفية ومدونات الصحافة والصحفيين المدونين ثم العلاقات مع المواقع الاجتماعية التى انتشرت بعد ذلك على شبكة الويب بعد تطويرها ويرسم الفصل الرابع : المعالم الأساسية لتصميم المدونات وبنائها والكتابة والتحرير على صفحاتها وتطوير مهارات الاتصال والعلاقات بالقراء والمشاركين أما الفصل الخامس : فيعرض أخلاقيات التدوين والمدونات ومعايير صلاحية المدونات لأداء أدوارها ووظائفها فى إطار المواثيق الأخلاقية وأسس الكتابة والتحرير ومصداقية النشر والاذاعة ويقدم الفصل السادس : أسس البحث العلمى ودراسة المدونات وأهدافها ومناهجها وصلاحية المدونات للتجريب وقياس التأثيرات ويختم الكتاب بمناقشة دور الوسائل الجديدة ومواقع المدونات بصفة خاصة فى دعم الرأى العام وحرية التعبير والمشاركة وأن هذه الوسائل والمدونات ساعدت على ارتفاع أصوات المعارضين وتحدى الصمت
