بين موت "جيغا" ودفنه يمرّ يوم كامل، تتصعّد فيه الأحداث، وتتدفق الذاكرة منذ أربعة عقود خلت، لدى "حياة" الكاتبة، التي وضعتها الأحداث المتسارعة بعد انتفاضة الشعب السوري أمام أسئلة صعبة، وواجهتها بمسؤوليتها الأخلاقية تجاه الشعب، فإذا بالمهزوم التاريخي "جيغا" الذي أصيب في حرب 1967، ودفعته خيبته العامة وخيبته الخاصة بفقدان الفتاة التي يحب إلى الانسحاب نحو الزوايا المظلمة يرصد التحولات التي طرأت على الحياة بكل جوانبها حتى الانتفاضة السورية، يعاقر الخمر ويتنبأ بالخطر من دون أن يستطيع قرع جرس الإنذار، يلتقي بالمهزوم الاجتماعي المعاصر"هند" الصبية الهاربة من هول العنف في رحلة طويلة من حمص إلى اللاذقية، بعد أن فقدت معظم أفراد أسرتها، وتعرضها لانتهاك جسدها من قبل عدة أطراف في النزاع. لكن برغم الألم وهول الواقع الذي عرّته الحالة السورية والنهاية التراجيدية للرواية، فإن "حياة" تنفخ في رماد الحريق لتظهر الجذوة المدفونة التي ستبقى دائمة التوقد "لأن فشل الثورات سيشعل شرارة صيرورة ثورية من جديد". عن المؤلف سوسن جميل حسن طبيبة من مواليد اللاذقية، عملت في المشافي التابعة لوزارة الصحة، ورئيسة لجان فحص الموظفين، ودائرة الخدمات الطبية. لها ثلاثة أعمال: "حرير الظلام" رواية صادرة عن دار الحوار ط1 2009، ط2 2011 "ألف ليلة في ليلة" رواية صادرة عن الدار العربية للعلوم ـ ناشرون عام 2010 "النباشون" صادرة عن دار الآداب عام 2012
