هذا الكتاب خلاصة دراسة علمية مستفيضة في موضوع التعدد – أعني تعدد الزوجات – مع المقارنة بين موقف كل من الأديان السماوية الثلاثة من هذه القضية وبمنتهي الموضوعية والحياد وقد حصلت من خلال هذا البحث علي درجة التخصص (( الماجستير )) في الأديان من كلية أصول الدين بجامعة الأزهر وأنا أدعو جميع الباحثين الذين ينشدون الحقيقة لذات الحقيقة سواء أكانوا من علماء اليهودية أو النصرانية أو الإسلام للإطلاع علي هذا البحث الذي يعالج الكثير من المشاكل والأمراض التي تعاني منها معظم المجتمعات المعاصرة وأنا علي يقين من أن القراءة الهادئة والمتأنية لهذه الرسالة ستفتح الباب أمام الكثير من الباحثين لإعادة النظر حول هذه المسألة التي يتوقف عليها الكثير من المصالح الضرورية التي يحتاج إليها المجتمع وستقنع الباحث المنصف بأن الإسلام قد جاء بالحل الأمثل لمشكلة العنوسة والترميل والطلاق وغيرها من المشاكل التي يعالجها هذا البحث وسأترك للقارئ الحق في أن يحكم علي هذه الآراء والاتجاهات بما يستحقه كل منها من قبول أو رفض وذلك بعد توضيح الجوانب الإيجابية والسلبية التي تنطوي عليها وبمنتهي التجرد والنزاهة بعيداً عن العادات والتقاليد والأفكار الموروثة التي ابتليت بها معظم المجتمعات المعاصرة والتي تروج لها بعض الجهات غير المسئولة وقد بذلت في سبيل ذلك الكثير من الوقت والجهد ليخرج هذا الكتاب علي هذا النحو الذي يشيع الرغبة في استيضاح موقف كل من الأديان الثلاثة من هذه القضية.
