أثار الانسحاب السورى من لبنان عدة تساؤلات على الصعيدين الإقليمى والدولى ، خاصة بعد تدخل الأمم المتحدة السافر فى حادث اغتيال الشهيد رفيق الحريرى فى لبنان 14 / 2 / 2005 م عن مدى علاقة هذا الحادث الداخلى بالأمم المتحدة عامة والسلم والأمن الدوليين خاصة . حتى أن الكثير تسائل فى مضض عن حكم القانون الدولى فى تلك الأحداث الجارية فى لبنان والتركيز على ضرورة الانسحاب السورى من لبنان بسرعة ومدى علاقة ذلك بالمنظمة العالمية علماً بأن يهود القرن العشرين دخلوا العاصمة اللبنانية عام 1982 م وارتكبت مذابح صبرا وشاتيلا ومذبحة قانا ولم نسمع عن الامم المتحدة ولا عن صوت المجتمع الدولى وظلت العصابات الصهيونية فى لبنان رغم صدور قرارات من مجلس الأمن مثل القرارين ( 425 ، 426 ) إلى انسحبت بليل تجر الهزيمة تحت وقع ضربات المقاومة الإسلامية فى جنوب لبنان ممثلة فى حزب الله فى 25 مايو 2000م . لذلك رأينا أن نضع الأحداث الجارية على المسرح السياسى والدولى فى سوريا ولبنان تحت ضوء قواعد و أحكام القانون الدولى العام ، ومواثيق المنظمات الإقليمية والعالمية ممثلة فى جامعه الدول العربية والأمم المتحدة لنرى حكم ما حدث وما قد يحدث . حيث أنتهى الكتاب إلى أن السياسة لعبت بالقانون الدولى والمنظمات الدولية الإقليمية والعالمية لعب السحر وضربت بكافة قواعد وأحكام ومبادىء القانون الدولى ومواثيق المنظمات الدولية عرض الحائط .
