آثرت أن أجمع فى هذا القاموس كل ما يزال مستخدماً من مصطلحات وصيغ ومفردات فى مجال القانون واستبعدت تماماً كل ما هو قديم ولم يعد مستخدماًمن تلك المصطلحات. كما حافظت على كل ما بقى حتى الآن من مصطلحات لاتينية فى ها المجال، حيث يستخدمها الإنجليز حتى يومنا هذا. وقد قسمت هذا القاموس إلى ثلاثة أقسام، تناولت فى القسم الأول المصطلحات والمفردات والصيغ التى تستسخدم فى مجال الشريعة الإسلامية وقضايا الأحوال الشخصية وغيرها. وفى القسم الثانى تناولت المفردات والصيغ المستخدمة فى مجال القانون والتقاضى سواء كان ذلك فى الحديث أثناء المناقشات والمرافعات أو فى تحرير المستندات والعقود والأوراق الرسمية. وفى القسم عدم تكرار المصطلح الأكثر شيوعاً واستخداماً فى المجالات القانونية المختلفة فى الكتابة والحديث. وقد فضلت عدم تكرار كتابة المصطلح مرتين وحتى يخرج هذا القاموس فى حجكم مناسب للقارئ.
