الكتاب من تحقيق محمد بن ناصر العجمي. يُجمع علماء الإسلام على أن "صحيح البخاري" من أعظم الكتب بعد كتاب الله الكريم، فقد عُنيت به الأمة وعلماؤها رواية ودراية، لأنه الجامع الذي أحرز قصبات السبق في مضمار الدواوين المُسندات، حتى قال عنه الإمام الذهبي: "جامع البخاري الصحيح، أجلّ كتب الإسلام وأفضلها بعد كتاب الله تعالى". يجمع هذا الكتاب ما بين دفتيه سياق حديث صحيح البخاري مما جمع من شيوخ الرواية والسماع الذين حصل لهم سماع هذا "الجامع" بالسند المتصل طبقة عن طبقة إلى مصنفه الإمام البخاري، وهنا يبرز جهد المؤلف في سياق هذه الأسانيد إلى ثلاثيات " صحيح البخاري" حيث عمل على سياق الحديث من طريق كل شيخ مع ترجمة وجيزة له ثم ترجمة لكل رجال الإسناد من شيخ إلى آخر وصولاً إلى الحافظ إبن حجر أو غيره ممن علا إسناده إلى "صحيح البخاري"، يلي ذلك النص على سماع المترجمين لـ "صحيح البخاري" سواء أكان ذلك تاماً لهم أم لبعضه، وإلا فلثلاثياته، ليتضح لقارىء الكتاب صحة هذه الأسانيد، وصحة السماع لـ "صحيح البخاري" إلى زمننا هذا. لذلك كله جاء هذا الكتاب في شرح هام لهذه الثلاثيات، للعلامة الشيخ علي الهروي المعروف بالقاري نزيل مكة المعظمة، المتوفي سنة (1014ه) حيث جاء ما جمعه المؤلف تحت مسمى "السير الحثيث في الإتصال ثلاثيات أمير المؤمنين في الحديث". هذا وقد اعتمدت ثلاث نسخ خطية في تحقيق هذا الكتاب. الأولى: نسخة مكتبة شهيد علي باشا باسطنبول، تحت رقم (1841/2). الثانية: نسخة مكتبة فيض الله أفندي. الثالثة: نسخة مكتبة عارف حكمت بالمدينة المنورة النبوية جاءت تحت رقم (374). هذا وقد اعتنى "العجمي" محقق هذا الكتاب بمقابلة نُسخه، وتخريج نصوصه، ومواطن العزو منه، وتصديره بنبذة عن مصنفه.
