إبراهيم العريس باحث في التاريخ الثقافي وصحافي وناقد سينمائي ومترجم ولد في بيروت 1946، درس الإخراج السينمائي في روما والسيناريو والنقد في لندن.
يعمل بالصحافة منذ عام 1970.
يرأس حاليًا القسم السينمائي في «الحياة» كما يكتب فيها زاوية يومية حول التراث الإنساني وتاريخ الثقافة العالمية.
ترجم نحو أربعين كتابًا عن الفرنسية والإنجليزية والإيطالية في السينما والفلسفة والاقتصاد والنقد والتاريخ، من أهم مؤلفاته: رحلة في السينما العربية، مارتن سكورسيزي: سيرة سينمائية.
ناقد سينمائي ومترجم من لبنان.
من أعماله المترجمة نصوص لِـ حنة أرندت، وآلان تورين، وجورج غورفيتش.
Book Description
هذا الكتاب محاولة أولية لقراءة أفلام مارون بغدادي في ارتباطها بحياته القصيرة (1950 – 1993). وفيه يتابع الناقد إبراهيم العريس مسار سينما هذا المخرج الذي يُعتبر أحد أبرز مؤسسي تيار التجديد في السينما اللبنانية، منذ فيلمه الروائي الطويل "بيروت يا بيروت" وصولاً إلى فيلمه الأخير "فتاة الهواء"، مروراً بالعديد من الأفلام التي حقّقها بين لبنان وفرنسا التي عاش فيها سنواته الأخيرة، ويتوقف عن أبرز مشاريعه التي لم يقيّض له تحقيقها ومنها فيلمه الأخير "زوايا" الذي كان من المفروض أن يبدأ تصويره في لبنان، كنوع من المصالحة مع الوطن، حين قضى في حادث مؤسف يوم 11 كانون الأول 1993. إبراهيم العريس: ناقد وصحافي ولد في بيروت العام 1946، يعيش ويعمل حالياً في فرنسا. له العديد من الكتب المترجمة والمؤلّفة في مجالات السينما والفلسفة والسياسة والاقتصاد. من أبرز مؤلفاته "الصورة والواقع" (1978)، "رحلة في السينما العربية" (1979)، "الكتابة في زمن المتغيّر" (1979)، "علامات الزمن" (1986)، و"لغة الذات والحداثة الدائمة" (1994)، "التاريخ والعالم" (2008)، "الشاشة والمرأة" (2009)، "نظرة الطفل وقبضة المتمرد ـ عن سينما يوسف شاهين" (2009)، "ما وراء الشاشة" (2010)، "من الرواية إلى الشاشة" (2010).
