اخترنا مواجهة الشعر العربي المعاصر من مكان النص الموازي؛ عوض أن نفزع عراة إلى النص ونجعله ينوء باوهام إمتلاكنا له، قررنا إستضافة العتبات النصية إلى مجال البحث وجعلها دفعة واحدة في مركز الضوء.
إن ما كان يحظى في المتخيل النقدي السائد بوضعية الهامشي، العرضي، الثانوي والتذييلي، سيحتل عندنا جل المشهد النقدي ليأخذ وضعه الإعتباري الملائم، في بناء النظرية والنص والدلالية.
وإذا كان الشعر المعاصر يخط لما يميزه نصاً وتنظيراً، فإنه يستأنف في آن، من مكان مغاير، الإحتفاء بهذه العتبات النصية إحتفاء بناء لم يعد تحقق الممارسة النصية للشعر الحديث يكتمل بدونه؛ لذلك لم يعد هناك من مبرر لمواصلة نسيان لمكون نصي (ونظري أيضاً) سعى الشاعر العربي الحديث منذ التقليدية، نحو إستثماره بدرجات مختلفة من الوعي والتصميم والثراء.
إنها مواجهة تأتي أيضاً في سياق حركة نقدية هامة أطلقتها بعض الدراسات الأدبية، على إمتداد العقدين الأخيرين من تاريخنا الحديث، وقد كان للجامعة المغربية دور رئيس في جعل هذه الحركة تبلور تعاقداً متنامياً بالإلتزام بالمعرفة والمنهج في تهييء وضعية علمية تسمح بإنتاج التراكم.
وعموماً فقد كنا موجهين في إختيار المتن المدروس بخصوصية الإشكالية التي صدر عنها البحث وبنيت في ضوئها فرضية الإنطلاق؛ لأن معرفة ما يجعل من الشعر العربي المعاصر كتاباً وخطاباً شعرياً حداثياً في آن، تستدعي متنا واسعاً يأخذ بعين الإعتبار المفاصل الكبرى في تاريخ هذا الشعر مثلما تراعي الجغرافيات الشعرية المختلفة التي ساهمت في بلورة محتمله الحداثي، بعد أن تغيرت وضعية الإنتاج الشعري بتفكيك ثنائية المركز والمحيط ابتداءً من سبعينيات القرن المنصرم.
ولعل هذا الحس التاريخي وما فرضه من تبدل في الأوضاع الإعتبارية للجغرافيات الشعرية المعاصرة، هو ما حذا بنا إلى دراسة متن نظري ونصي ثابت، سعياً لإثرائه والتنويع عليه، قدر الإمكان، بمتن مواز متبدل.
