تحاكي هذه القصص أوجاع المحبين وتنطق بلسانهم كتبتها المؤلفة بروح مرهفة مستخدمةً اللغة العامية في الحوارات، والكلمات الرنانة في موقعها الصحيح، ووصف الحرمان والمكان والشخصيات بشكل مؤثر حيث جعلت القارئ يشعر بأنه جزء من الرواية.
وقد جاءت عناوين القصص الثلاث وفق ما يلي: سنوات على غيابك - الحبيب الأوليّ! - رسالة إلى غلا.
"ليتك يا حمد لو تستطيع سماعي لأقول لك بأنني كنت ولا أزال غارقة في حبك! كيف لي أن أنساك وأنت من أمضيت معه أروع اللحظات وأجمل أيام حياتي؟! أنت من بكيت بعد رحيله أياماً امتدت شهوراً وسنوات! لا أزال أذكرك جيداً يا حمد وكأن رحيلك عني كان بالأمس! أذكر الأيام التي عشناها، والأوقات الرائعة التي أمضيناها معاً، لا أزال يا حمد بين فترة وأخرى أذهب إلى الشاطىء الذي مشينا وركضنا على رماله معاً لمسافات، لا أزال يا حمد أختلس النظر عن قرب إلى الأمواج التي قرَّبتني منها وبللتني بمياهها! لا أزال أحتفظ بالأصداف والمحار التي استخدمناها معاً لتزيين القلعة التي شيدناها من رمال الشاطىء! لا تزال قلادتك التي قدّمتها لي هديةً يوم عيد ميلادي الثامن عشر تزين عنقي منذ أن ألبستني إياها! لا أزال يا حمد محتفظة بصورك التي أتأملها يومياً وأبتسم لها لأنها الشيء الوحيد الذي يمدّني بالقوة ويشعرني بالأمان، ويمكّنني من المضي قدماً نحو الحياة!"
