كانت الكتابة تلحّ عليّ؛ تمامًا كما كان الرصاص يلحّ في مطاردتنا والغاز في خنقنا. أغلبُ هذه الشذرات - المكتوبة على غرار شِعر "الهايكو" الياباني-، كتبتها وأنا محصور بين الموت والموت. كنت أخرج هاتفي وأسجل عليه ما يداهمني من مشاعر؛ خوف. غضب. أمل. يأس. ترقب. وأحيانا كنت أخرج من حقيبتي كتابًا وأسجّل علي هامشه ما يعنّ لي. شيء رهيب ومرعب أن تعيش في دائرة القنص، أو القتل للحظة واحدة؛ فما بالك بتلك الأيام والليالي الطوال؟! لقد شهدتُ أغلب المجازر: الحرس الجمهوري الأولي، والثانية، ومجزرة المنصة، وفض رابعة، ورمسيس. وكانت مجزرة الفض أكثر المجازر بشاعة، ووحشية، لذا قسّمتُ هذه الشذرات لثلاثة أقسام: ما قبل الفض، ويوم الفض، وما بعد الفض. وكلٌ من وحي الرصاص.
