الكتاب من تراثنا الشعبي الكويتي مع الأطفال في الماضي وهو من تأليف الأستاذ الفنان أيوب حسين الأيوب وكاتب طبعته الأولى عام 1969م، وأعاد مركز البحوث والدراسات الكويتية نشرة في طبعة جديدة عام 2005م مع إضافات جديدة وتعديل وتنسيق المحتويات من اللوحات المصورة. ومحتويات الكتاب جزء من ذاكرة الوطن لأن يتناول أهم موروثاتنا الشعبية، تلك التي كان أطفال الكويت يمارسونها في أيام مضت، وكادت تنسى لما طرأ على المجتمع من تغيرات في أنماط الحياة المختلفة. وقد تضمن الكتاب إلى جانب الألعاب الشعبية للصبيان والبنات، ذكر المناسبات وأغانيها وأهازيجها، ومبتكرات الأطفال ومشغولاتهم اليدوية وهواياتهم المحببه وبه ما يزيد على تسعين لوحه، مرسومة ومصورة.
