التفاصيل السعودية مثيرة، تارة تأتي مصحوبة بصفة الخصوصية، وأحياناً تفرض نفسها بغرابة الشكل، لا أريد أن أكتب طلاسمَ للتعريف بهذا المجتمع فهذا ما لا أستطيعه والإعتراف بالحق فضيلة، ولكن الكثير من جوانبه تحفز على المتابعة وتثير الفضول وربما الأسئلة. هنا الكثير من القصص الصحافية عن أحداث يرويها أبطالها كما عاشوها، أو تحقيقاً يأخذ ملمحاً عن قضية ما، ولكنها تجتمع رغم تباعد العناوين في سعودية البطل، أو المسرح، أو الحدث، سواء كانت اللقطة الصحافية توثيقاً لما جرى في مكان وزمان محددين، أو قراءة لظاهرة تتكرر بإستمرار. هناك ما يغري بالتسكع في أزقة العقل السعودي حيث الضجيج هو العنوان الأبرز لتفاعلات هذا المجتمع مع نفسه أو محيطه أو العالم، وتتلون هذه التفاصيل بين محطات الإرهاب، أو شغب المثقفين مع القضايا التي تتقاطع مع رؤى مضادة، وليس إنتهاء بالتفاصيل المجتمعية الدقيقة التي تسمح بالتوغل في زوايا معتمة. في هذا الكتاب نكتشف أجواء زيارة أسامة بن لادن لمعسكر الفاروق قبل أحداث الحادي عشر من سبتمبر بأسبوعين والتي أطلق فيها بشارته لأعضاء تنظيم القاعدة في شهادة نادرة يقدمها عضو سعودي سابق في التنظيم، كما نراقب معركة الأسئلة والإجابات حول التطرف الذي تتدحرج كرته في أكثر من إتجاه، ودون أن نغفل مشاعر المراهق الذي يجد هوايته في الرقص على العجلات. المسرح الزمني لهذه الأحداث جاء في الفترة ما بين سنة 2000م، إلى 2008، وهي فترة لا يمكنها إدعاء الهدوء، أو الرتابة، إذا نظرنا إلى حجم الأحداث والقضايا التي تشكلت بدءاً من تفجيرات الحادي عشر من سبتمبر، وإحتلال أفغانستان وليس إنتهاء بإحتلال العراق وما أعقب ذلك من إرتداد لموجات الإرهاب في الداخل السعودي، فضلاً عن عناوين سعودية خالصة كانت وقوداً لسجالات كثيرة. لا يوجد هنا خيال روائي في سرد الوقائع، إذ القصة يرويها أصحابها كما عايشوها لحظة الحدث، كما لا يوجد أي تدخل في رأي أو تفسير، حيث يتحدث المتخصصون بوضوح تجاه ما يرون من قضايا، هنا تعلن القصة عن نفسها بعيداً عن حواشي الشرح والتعليق.
