هذه كتيّـبات أربعة هي طليعة سلسلة يشرف على إصدارها مركز الأبحاث والدراسات العربية في كليّـة الآداب والعلوم الإنسانيّـة بجامعة القدّيس يوسف ـ بيروت. والهدف منها مساعدة الطلاّب في المراحل المتوسّـطة والثانويّـة والجامعيّـة على التعبير بوضوح ودقّـة شفهيّـاً وكتابةً. والوسيلة إلى ذلك، بحسب ما هو معروض في الكتيّـبات، هي سلسلة من التمارين التطبيقيّـة المتدرّجة المتكاملة من خلال نصوص مكتوبة أو مسموعة متنوّعة، ومن خلال مناسبات أو حالات تواصليّـة. ولئن يستفيد المتعلِّـم من هذا الأسلوب فيتدرّب على المراقبة والاكتشاف، والمحاكاة والإبداع، فإنّ المعلِّـم أيضاً يجد فيه ما يسعفه لتنشيط دروسه وإحيائها وتشغيل طلاّبه ودفعهم على الاكتشاف والاستنتاج. لا شكّ أنّ هذه السلسلة ستؤدّي عظيم الخدمة في معاهدنا لأنّ جمهور طلاّبنا هو في أيّـامنا أحوج ما يكون إلى حسن التعبير إن بالقلم أو بالقول، فضلاً عن حسن التفكير بانتظام ومنطق سليم.
