لهذا رأى "محمد الخوالدة" أن يترجم كتاب "التصميم التعليمي، خطة لتطوير الوحدة الدراسية والمساق" لمؤلفه الدكتور جيرولد أي كمب لأن فيه معرفة ممتازة في متطلبات التصيم التعليمي، الذي يقوم على تحديد الأهداف التعليمية، وتنظيم المحتوى والخبرات، واختيار أساليب التعليم، واستثمار الأدوات التكنولوجية المتطورة وعمل التقويم لنتمكن من مواجهة المسؤولية التربوية نحو الأفراد والمجتمع على أحسن وجه. وفي تقديري أن الكتاب الذي جاء وليد خبرة علمية طويلة من عالم ناجح ومجرب في مجال تكنولوجيا التعليم، فإنه يستحق أن يترجم ليكون أحد مصادر المواد التعليمية المهمة المطلوبة للمساقات التربوية ذات العلاقة، والتي تدرس في برامج التعليم العالي بالجامعات العربية، ومما يزيد هذا الكتاب أهمية أن مادته قد تمت بتوجيهات من أعلام كبار مثل: جيمس فن، وروبرت جانيه، وروبرت ميجر.
