ظهرت مادة هذا الكتاب في صورتها البدائية علي هيئة عدة مقالات نشرت في رسالة الشباب المسيحي، في الفترة مابين نهاية1998 وبداية 2000. وكنت فيها أنقل للقاريء المسيحي، علي قدر استطاعتي، قراءتي للإحداث العالمية الكبرى المعاصرة والخطيرة، وعلاقتها بقرب مجيء المسيح. وقد اعتمدت في قراءتي لها علي نور مصباح جميل، تعودت من سنين طويلة علي ألا أستطلع حقيقة أي شيء إلا في نوره، وفي الحقيقة لم يخذلني هذا المصباح قط، بل في كل مرة لجأت اليه كشف لي من الغوامض ما أذهلني، وأوضح لي من السرائر ما ابهرني، ولذا لم أعد أثق إلا فيه؛ هذا هو مصباح النبوة الجميل، النبوة كما سجلها كتاب الحق: الكتاب المقدس. واستكمالاً للفائدة تم جمع هذه المقالات معاً، بعد إجراء تغييرات جذرية في بعضها، وتغييرات طفيفة في بعضها الآخر، فنتج هذا الكتاب
