1) صدر في مصر عام 2003 كتاب جديد حول "بروتوكولات حكماء صهيون" بعنوان: "بروتوكولات حكماء صهيون وأصولها التوراتية والتلمودية" من تأليف د. أحمد علي الحجازي السقا (أستاذ دراسات المقارنة بين الأديان في جامعة الأزهر) وهشام خضر (صحفي في صحيفة "الشرق" القطرية). وقد جرى توزيع هذه الطبعة، وما تزال توزع طبقا لتقديراتنا، وسط الجاليات العربية والإسلامية في بريطانيا وفي دول أخرى خارج مصر. 2) تشتمل الطبعة الحالية من "البروتوكولات" على مقدمة مفصلة منسوبة لـ د. علي جمعة، مفتي مصر وأستاذ مصادر التشريع الإسلامي في جامعة الأزهر. وتتضمن المقدمة المنسوبة للدكتور علي جمعة على عبارات تحريضية ولا سامية قاسية ضد الشعب اليهودي وتحدد بصورة قاطعة أن اليهود هم الذين قاموا بتأليف "البروتوكولات". وقد أضفت المقدمة المذكورة على طبعة الكتاب صفة الشرعية الاسلامية وقدر كبير من الهيبة بحكم وزن صاحب المقدمة. 3) بتاريخ 1 كانون الثاني 2007، أي بعد أكثر من ثلاث سنوات على ظهور هذه الطبعة من "البروتوكولات"، نشر مفتي مصر، د. على جمعة، توضيحا في زاوية "الفكر الديني" في صحيفة الأهرام المصرية (ص 13)، حيث أنكر جملة وتفصيلا أنه كتب المقدمة "لهذا الكتاب الخرافي الذي لا أساس له من الصحة". بناء على ذلك، كما كتب المفتي، فقد أرسل إنذارا قضائيا إلى دار النشر المسئولة عن نشر الكتاب وطالبها بحذف المقدمة من نسخ الكتاب التي بحوزتها وعدم نشرها مرة أخرى بدون إذن منه. 4) طبقا لما هو معلوم لدينا، فإن هذا المقال غير مألوف من ناحية المضمون ومن ناحية الصياغة. المقال هام للغاية لأنه يتضمن الإنكار العلني لـ"بروتوكولات حكماء صهيون" من على صفحات صحيفة رسمية واسعة الانتشار باللغة العربية، ومن قبل شخصية دينية رفيعة المستوى تشكل مرجعية دينية- شرعية عالية في مصر وفي العالم الإسلامي- السني
