إن Revit 2014 هو برنامج يوفر لك الأدوات اللازمة للتصميم المعماري والتحليل الإنشائي، حيث يمكنك من خلاله رسم نموذج مفصل للمبنى بإمكانات هائلة تفوق تلك المتوفرة في برنامج AutoCad، وذلك وفقًا لتقنية تسمى BIM وهي اختصار للعبارة Buliding Information Modeling، كما يمكنك من خلاله عمل محاكاة للمبنى وظروف إنشائه والعوامل المؤثرة، ليقدم لك الحلول اللازمة للتخطيط والتصميم والبناء، وأيضًا إدارة المشروع، وفي هذه المجموعة التعليمية ستجد شرحًا وافيًا للمهام الأساسية والمتقدمة التي تقودك لاحتراف البرنامج بأيسر الطرق، وتتكون هذه المجموعة من وحدتين، حيث تحتوي كل وحدة على كتاب واسطوانة تعليمية تتضمن شرح بالصوت والصورة باللغة العربية، كما تحتوي المجموعة أيضًا على أسطوانة إضافية تحتوي على شرح بالصوت والصورة باللغة الإنجليزية، أما الأسطوانة الرابعة فهي تحتوي على مجموعة كبيرة من الوحدات الجاهزة (Families) وكافة الأدوات التي تلزمك للتعامل مع البرنامج باحتراف: الوحدة الأولى: المهارات الأساسية، (تعرف على وجهة البرنامج وتصميم مشروع معماري جديد، إضافة الأبواب والنوافذ وإضافة حائط قاطع، عرض التصميم بالأبعاد الثلاثية وتصميم مشهد كاميرا، تصميم المخططات وجداول الكميات، إضافة المناسيب وتصميم المساقط الجانبية، رفع منسوب الحوائط وتصميم منطقة تفاصيل، المصفوفة الدائرية والتعامل مع أدوات التعديل، تصميم الحواشي والنصوص، القياسات المتناسقة والقياسات الخطية، قياس الزوايا والاقطار، إضاغة الأرضيات وتصميم البلاطات باستخدام الطبقات). الوحدة الثانية: المهارات المتقدمة (إضافة سقف مائل وربط السقف بالحوائط، تصميم سقف خاص وتعديل شكل شبكة السقف، إضافة مكونات السباكة الصحية والأثاث وإضافة الإضاءة إليها، تغيير بلاط الأرضية ووضع المصابيح الجدارية، إضافة المنحدرات، رسم السلم بإستخدام المكونات وتغيير شكل الدرابزين، إضافة الجداول وإجراء عمليات الجمع والترتيب، عمل حصر للكميات وإضافة الحقوق المحسوبة، تصميم الغرف والمساحات والمناطق وإضافة الفواصل، تغيير خواص الغرف والحوائط الفاصلة ومنطقة المدخل، تصميم لوحات الرسم وإجراء عملية الطباعة).
