تصميم التدريس علم يهدف إلى بيان دور المعلم في تنفيذ الأهداف التربوية، وقد اهتم كثيرون من التربويين بموضوع تصميم التدريس خاصة وأنه أحد العلوم التطبيقية لعلم التدريس ونظريات التعلم. إن مفهوم تصميم التدريس يعني أنه عملية مخططة أي أنه محكوم بأهداف وعناصر كالأساليب والوسائل وخصائص المتعلمين والمحتوى التدريسي والبيئة والمجتمع لتحقيق أهداف تربوية. لقد جاءت مادة هذا الكتاب ثمرة جهد كبير، فهي حصيلة أقلام وأفكار العديد من العلماء والأساتذة الذي خاضوا غمار هذا العلم. ونحن إذ نضع هذا الجهد المتواضع بين أيدي طلبة التعليم العالي وكليات المجتمع وفق الخطة التي وضعتها جامعة البلقاء التطبيقية نرجو أن يجدوا في كتابنا هذا ما يريدون من معرفة في ميدان التصميم التدريسي. لقد جاءت محتويات هذا الكتاب في ثماني وحدات كما وردت في الخطة الدراسية الصادرة عن جامعة البلقاء التطبيقية، وحاولنا جهدنا أن نضع المعلومات بلغة سهلة ميسرة ولقد أوجزنا في بعض المعلومات وفصلنا في بعضها الآخر معتمدين على ما تيسر من مراجع عربية ومراجع أجنبية. ونحن لا ندعي الكمال ولكننا نرجو أن نكون قد وفقنا في إعداد مادة هذا الكتاب بما يخدم الأهداف المرجوة في مادة تصميم التدريس. وفقنا الله جميعاً لخدمة العملية التربوية في بلدنا ليخطو الخطوات الواسعة في مجال التقدم والنمو.
