مقتطف من الكتاب: فها هنا نرى أن رسول الله قد ترك المَلِكَ على مُلكه مادام قد دخل هو وقومه في الإسلام، وأطاعا وسمحا لمندوب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بأن يشرف على إخراج الصدقات ويحكم بينهم بشريعة الإسلام، وهما إنما سمحا لعمرو بالحكم بين الناس في عُمان لأنهما يم يكونا يعرفان شريعة الإسلام بعد، وعمرو هنا لم يكن حاكمًا ولا واليًا، وإنما هو مجرد عاملٍ على الصدقات ومعرّف للناس بأحكام الشريعة. أنهى الكتاب بقوله: اختر لنفسك ما تريد!
