يتناول هذا الكتاب عرض رؤية تربوية لأسلوب القرآن الكريم في عرض الأمثال، وللتأثر التربوي العقلي والوجداني والسلوكي الحاصل بها، ويبين سبق التربية الإسلامية إلى ما يقابل هذه الميزات في التربية المعاصرة، وبذلك يجمع بين الأصالة والرصانة المنهجية والإبداع وتربية السلوك والوجدان. ويبين الكتاب التعريف بأمثال القرآن الكريم وتحليلها التربوي، فيعرف المثل، ويوضح معناه اللغوي والقرآني، والمعنى اللغوي القرآني لضرب الأمثال، والمعنى التربوي. ويشرح الكتاب مراحل المثل القرآني أو عناصره التربوية فيحللها بعرض المثل، وتطبيقه وتوضيح هدفه، ويصنف الأمثال القرآنية ويبين أنواعها، ومعايير تصنيفها وفقاً لتغير موضوع المثل، وبحسب طريقة ضرب المثل، وبحسب دلالته ومغزاه، وطريقة عرضه. ويفصل القول في بعض أصناف الأمثال القرآنية باختلافها باختلاف موضوعها، وبالتمثيل بالكائنات الحية وقوى الطبيعة، وبالحشرات والحيوانات، والإنسان، ويحللها تربوياً، ويبين الأمثال القائمة على التشبيه للبرهان على نفي قضية وإثبات نقيضها، أو لنفي التسوية بين النقيضين، والآثار النفسية للأمثال القائمة على الموازنة لنفي التسوية. ويبحث في أهم أهداف التربية بالأمثال القرآنية الاعتقادية، والسلوكية التعبدية ومعاييرها وتحليلها التربوي والنفسي، والآثار التربوية للتربية بالأمثال القرآنية وتحليلها النفسي وبيان مساراتها الفكرية والوجدانية العاطفية، وفي تربية السلوك وتحقيق الصحة النفسية.
