يبدو أنني لا أزال أحن إلى الشعر وأرى فيه الفرح المختلس الذي يسرقنا من ورطات الدنيا.. كي يتباعد بنا عنها لنعود إليها ونحن أكثر وعيا، وأكثر قدرة على المواجهة.. بهذه الكلمات افتتح الدكتور جابر عصفور الناقد الكبير كتابه "عوالم شعرية معاصرة" والذي صدر حديثا ضمن سلسلة كتاب العربي والتي تصدر عن وزارة الاعلام الكويتية، يقع الكتاب فى 288 صفحة . ويتكون الكتاب من ثلاثة أجزاء، جاء الأول بعنوان: عوالم شعرية معاصرة.. صلاح عبد الصبور، ويشتمل هذا الجزء على مجموعة مقالات حول صلاح عبد الصبور وشعره، ومن هذه المقالات: صلاح عبد الصبور.. ذكرى شاعر حزين؛ ذكرى شاعر حزين.. صلاح عبد الصبور واكتشاف عالم القبح؛ وعي الهزيمة 30 ؛ لأن الحب مثل الشعر ... ماذا يقول الشاعر لنا ؟ رحلة الشاعر في بحار الفكر؛ الفرحة المنقوصة واستقبال ديوان أقول لكم؛ رؤية لعالم صلاح عبد الصبور؛ بين أمل دنقل وصلاح عبد الصبور. أما الجزء الثاني فقد جعله المؤلف عن "عوالم شعرية معاصرة .. أمل دنقل" وينطوي هذا الجزء على مقالات حول الراحل أمل دنقل وشعره، والتي جاء منها المقالات التالية: ذكرى أمل دنقل؛ أمل دنقل الشاعر العمودي؛ ثلاثية أوجه القمر؛ أبو نواس؛ للشاعر أكثر من وجه؛ أغنية الكعكة الحجرية؛ أنسنة الموت؛ الجنوبي.. أما آخر الأجزءا من إصدار عصفور فقد جعل عنوانه "عوالم شعرية معاصرة .. محمود درويش" حيث اشتمل هذا الجزء على جملة من المقالات التي جاء منها: مسافر زاده الشعر؛ محمود درويش؛ رمزية المرآة قراءة في الدواوين الأخيرة لمحمود درويش؛ تجليات القرين؛ أم الفراشة.
